    Is there a quick way to see what is on my desk top ?

    Welcome to Mac-Forums

    Hit Command-Option-M to minimize all windows to see what's on the desktop..check out other shortcuts..

    Specs:
    2012 13" MBP (2.5 i5, 8GB)
    System Preferences > Mission Control > setup a hot corner or keyboard shortcut for showing the desktop.
