In response to apple aperture, adobe has rushed out lightroom. it is currently in beta. it can be used to compare photos and edit them. its pretty neat but it seems to be about halfway done. download it from macromedia.com.

It's awesome.. so far I am really liking it. Knowing Adobe though.. it's going to get us hooked and then charge $499 for it

I have it, and it works beautifully. (You're expecting "for a beta"?)

The color correction is astonishing, and it runs very very fast on my 15" 1.67 Powerbook. It even runs on my roommate's 14" iBook. Aperture requires double the specs of that iBook to run.

This will definitely be better than Aperture from what I've seen of Lightroom and read of Aperture.

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.
