I have an Apple TV and have used it a few times with my iMac but do not seem to be able to use it with a new MacBook Air that I recently purchased. Can I use the MacBook Air to display pictures on the Apple TV using WiFi? Or do you have to have a cable between the MacBook Air and the TV?
QUOTE Thanks

I have done this on my macbook pro with tv. Not being familiar with air. I am trying to help.

not until mountain lion comes out,

Or do you have to have a cable between the MacBook Air and the TV?
not sure about your model pre 2010 you can run mini display port ( does macbook air has this) using mini display port to mini display adapter and HDMI (both male ends) cable tv in.
Audio cable (male ends) from headphone out on air to tv audio in.

2010 after just use hdmi and mini port display adapter.
QUOTE Thanks
