I need windows media player to view some streaming videos online, but when i downloaded it, it said that i did not have the program to open it. The download on my desktop just looks like a white piece of paper. How would I download and install this program?

I take it you are running OSX Tiger? If so, it no longer comes with Stuffit Expander. Do a search on Version Tracker and download the free stuffit expander and install it. then you can open Windows Media Player. I am suprised Microsoft is not doing what a lot of people have been lately and using either .zip or a DMG image.
