syncing iPad to Mac for first time

Hello,

I have an iPad which i have synced with my old laptop for some time. The laptop has died and i still have all my music and purchased films on my iPad.

I just bought a Mac for the first time and would like to sync with this and bring all the films and music onto it. I tried syncing and it asks if i would like to erase the contents of the iPad and copy the blank library on the Mac onto the iPad. This is the wrong way around. Could i ask the best way to do this?

Both the iPad and Mac are logged in with the same account.

Obviously, you don't want to do that for fear of losing the iPad content. Instead you might want to try this application: LINK Make sure you have a good backup of all your content.
