hi everybody, this is my second attempt at posting, i tried yesterday but i am unable to find the post, so i am trying again. at 71 i thought that i was cool enough to take on a mac.
he he , after a month i can now work out the basics. i have firefox and thunderbird on both my pc and mac. they seem to work well together.
i found the forum yesterday and i have enjoyed reading all the posts. they have answered a lot of questions. thanks for that. ok, now we will try to post again. slowly this time.

You could search for the original post by your user name. Click in the box next to the green symbol of a magnifying glass and type your user name, then click the symbol.

thanks for the information,i think that as i had not spotted the random question my first post was lost, excitement rather than age related. so why did i purchase a mac.
i had past on my laptop to my daughter and sold my desktop to a friend in need.
replacement was a asus laptop with windows 7, but i was looking for a better desktop replacement and the best was the mac. the mac arrived at the same time that i was going away for a weeks holiday and also my broadband provider was being changed, no problem.
i would use my mac on holiday using a mobile dongle......ha ha , no signal .
i spent 7 days switching the mac on and off and polishing the case.
now back home and i wonder why i did not have a mac years ago. my wife thinks that i am glued to it. i use the windows laptop as a backup,
