When is/if Netflix coming to Australia?

I was just checking out netflix and i live in Australia and i just tryed to make an account and it said "netflix isn't available in your country". So i was wondering if/when it's coming to Australia?

It's probably due to licensing restrictions. It's hard to tell with that kind of stuff, so it could be tomorrow, or it could be 10+ years from now.

Although the management don't seem to know what they're doing all the time, the actual SERVICE is pretty awesome. All the streaming TV (movies and TV shows) you can eat for eight bucks a month. For most North Americans, it's their new favorite babysitter thanks to its extensive child friendly section, all ad-free. For me personally, there's a very high ratio of schlock to quality – but even I think there's enough quality there to justify $8. The old Dr. Who stories and MST3K episodes alone are worth that to me, nevermind the (small) selection of silent movies and (larger) selection of classic films.

They do seriously need to up their game in terms of HD content, but I think we can all guess when that's going to happen.

Well chas you can bet we would not get it for $8 down under. For instance we have no cable TV, however Foxtel in the Metropolitan areas and Austar in the country costs $100 p.m.

You can get Netflix in Australia if you use this ninja trick It works great and unblocks not only Netflix but any US only website.
