Mac Dual 1 GHz PowerPC G4, 1.5 GB SDRAM, OS 10.4.11

Mac PowerPC G4 won't turn on; will start randomly; crashes shortly after boot. Mac Dual 1 GHz PowerPC G4, 1.5 GB SDRAM, OS 10.4.11

Power light lights up, but then instantly goes out after releasing button. Fan turns on. Then shuts down with a click. Then after usually 3-20 attempts, the computer starts up and runs from 5 minutes to 36 hours of use. And then same cycle.

Fixes already tried: PMU reset button. New battery (2 months)

Any help greatly appreciated!
