I know this is a very elementary question. I set up a user account for my wife. She helps me with my business. Therefor I need documents that she has prepared. How do I retrieve these from while I'm logged into my account?

Thanks

Best to get her to save documents in the folder Users/Shared/

That way both users on the machine can have access to the files

I'm a new Mac user as well. Can you expound on this some? Is User/Shared a folder already in the system? Or do I have to set this up? Is it a case of '...save to...'? And then choosing Users/Shared?

Thanks.

AliOop: you have it exactly right. Users/Shared is an existing folder, and all you have to do is save to it.

I looked under both user accounts and can't find shared file folder. I exported it as a word doc and when it asked me where to save it, it didn't give that option. I looked using finder and couldn't find it. Can you tell me where it is?

It's in /Users - open up Macintosh HD > Users to get to it.
