Quit in Dock Pop Up Menu

Any ideas as to what I have done, until a few days ago the Dock Pop Up Menu contained Quit but it has now disappeared from all dock Icons. What Have I done wrong and how do I reinstate?

Reboot the machine first to see if you get the "Quit" option back for the Dock icons. Keep in mind that the only time "Quit" will appear is if the application is active.

If rebooting doesn't work, create another user account as a test, log into the test account and see if it works there. If it does, that tells us your account may be corrupt.
