Hi guys,

I had a quick search through the forums here but didn't find exactly what I'm after.

Basically, my wife has a MacBook Pro (running OSX 5.8) but not the original install DVD (as she bought it second hand).

I'd like to make a bootable CD/DVD for her, as wanted to know the best way to do this.

If there is a tread already about this, please just direct me there!

Thanks guys!

My suggestion is to keep things legal and buy a set of OS X Disks for your wife's MBP.

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem. You understand ?

Agree with McBie

This is what you need, $29 USD at Apple Store
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)

Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.

Go out to eBay etc and pay about $100 for a black full retail install DVD. If it is a Core 2 Duo even cheaper to purchase Snow Leopard OS X.6, and then buy Lion OS X.7 from the App Store.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
