no. unless you have a .mac account (or some other internet backup) to store them on your out of luck. but if u have an ipod, u could put them all on your ipod. and then use senuti (a free mac app) to get them off thew ipod onto the new computer.

Yeah, your choices are:

1. Use an iPod
2. Use an External HD
3. Burn them to CDs/DVDs
4. Internet Backup and Download
5. Over a network
6. Email

Some of the above aren't practical for large numbers of files.

I believe there's also a simple Firewire link option that Apple offers. I know that it works for your Applications, user info and Documents, so I don't see why it wouldn't for music.

I like it. It's basically an iDisk with slightly less integration.

Okay, another noob question. I have now downloaded the gdisk, I have attempted to transfer (upload?) my itunes library onto the gdisk (my itunes lib is not that big) but it doesn't seem to be working. I created a folder and uploaded it into the gdisk folder, transfered some files, but when I go into the folder there is nothing there. any ideas?

Apple has published some very useful documents about moving your stuff to a mac, or any computer for that matter.
