Hi im sophomore in high school. This will be my first Mac and I'm not sure what to get. Portibility is not an issue for at least another 2 years when I go to collage and by that time I'll upgrade to something else. So I either want a iMac 21 inch or a MacBook pro 13 inch. Where I'm from they both cost the same so price ain't a problem. The unit will probably never leave my desk so like I put earlier portability is not a problem for at Least 2 years and by that time I'll get something else. So any opinions on what I should get? Thank you

Your question is sort of like asking..."Should I buy a boat or a car?".
Folks purchase a laptop computer for portability...other folks buy a desktop because they don't need portability. So you should first decide if portability is something you need. After you answer the portability question...then deciding between the 13" MacBook Pro & iMac you mentioned will be very very easy! ![]() - Nick p.s. Also keep in mind that you usually get more "bang for your buck" with a desktop...or desktops with the similar specs to a laptop are usually less expensive. - Computer slow, too many "beachballs", read this: Beachballs - Computer seems slower than it used to? You're just looking at more bang for your buck with the iMac...and they are stunning to look at. |
