I'm brand new to Macs and have a MacBook Pro 15 with OS X Lion installed. When i started the computer, I foolishly gave it my legal first name which I just hate. Since it's on my credit card, for legal reasons, I gave it to the computer. Later, I realized I didn't have to do that. So I changed my user name to the name I like to be called. It's the name all my friends know me by and all my clients, too. I just hate the legal name.

So even tho I changed the name on login to the computer with, all my emails go out with my legal name on them! I've looked and looked and cannot find where to change the name so that my emails reflect the name I am known by and comfortable with.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried changing your information on your personal card in your
"Contacts" folder? I believe once you change that, it will change the information in "Mail"
