Unless you're on the executive team at Apple -- and I'm guessing you're not -- there's no way to know that a new model is coming out at any given point. Rumours sites are exactly that: RUMOURS, which are also often known as GUESSES. Sometimes they guess right, but frankly they usually guess wrong. Nothing wrong with reading rumours as long as you bear that in mind.

There have been some recent RUMOURS that a minor refresh should be out soon (early November), so I think it may be worth waiting a couple more weeks or so, but if that doesn't materialize by then I'd say Apple's done for at least the rest of the year and you can buy your MacBook Pro with confidence.

I have to ask.... how do you know a new model is coming out in February? Apple does not announce ahead of time when new models will be available. If you need a MBP right now, buy it now or wait until ???

Buy now. I doubt any refresh is going to be that substantial.

I just recently upgraded to a new one and am loving it.

Refreshed lineup of MBPs are now available. You don't have to wait until Feb.
