Hi,
Upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard late last night and all seems fine, only application that needed to be changed was Onyx. But have two questions regarding Apple mail and Safari. 1) I see now that mail is showing as conversations re senders for all my accounts which I like. But how do you delete a mail without opening it? As in SL you could double click the bar to remove mail content window and delete without opening. I know you can choose classic view from preferences but like the new layout. 2) When I now end a Safari session do some work then reopen Safari it opens the last page that I had visited, I have set preferences for a specific home page so what am I missing. ![]() Thanks in advance for any hints. |

2) System Preferences - General - next to last section, uncheck Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. |

Just joshing you of course, but really, giving an email a quick glance before deleting might not be a bad idea sometimes.

You can set Mail in the preferences to open in Classic View. Wonder if that will do what you are after?
I tried it and it makes mail like it used to be. |

I may be catching the wrong end of the stick completely, but can't you just drag the quick viewer "bit" of the Mail window to the right, it then doesn't open an Email as soon as you click on it (you have to double click to bring it up in a new window).
Again, apologies if i have gotten this wrong, its been a very long day. - Alex |

Good one Alex! I actually like it the new way so never really messed with it, but it works for the OP, and that is great! Thanks for the Tip!
