I have a late 2008 MBP 10.6.8 and a 24"HD monitor connected via the mini DVI port.

Can someone please tell me how to have two separate things showing on the monitor and MBP screen at the same time. In other words, on an instructional website I subscribe to I want to watch a training video from that site on the 24" monitor (in HD) while viewing the same websites chat room on my MBP screen. Each one pops up in separate windows when clicked on. Thanks

system preferences --> displays, from here click the "arrangement" tab. Make sure the "mirror display" checkbox is unchecked.

Hopefully this helps

Cheers
