Hello gang.

Does anyone know of a good security software for the Mac. The type of thing I am looking for is to stop any unauthorized thumb drives or discs downloading anything from my machine without my knowledge. I used to use Internet Cleanup for this but it is now defunct for Lion. They are not upgrading it.

The ideal software would want my log in password to authorize the device before it could copy any files to it.

 Machine Specs: 27" i7 iMac l 2.8 GHz Quad Core l 16 GB 1067 MHz DDR 3 Ram l ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB Ram l 2 TB Sata HDD l 2 TB Time Machine [Seagate GoFlex. Firewire 800] l Built-in OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5680H l Built-in Card reader l Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite I iPhone 4S 16 GB iOS 8.1

If no one else is using your Mac, log out and use a strongly encoded password. If other/s do use it, set up Guest Accounts.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Many thanks for your reply's. I'll set up a strong encoded password. Thinking about it, it looks like the best choice.

And as a suggestion use a typical phrase substituting numeric for alphabetical.

Such as 'it is a nice day'
