It appears it was never properly placed on the Dock.
Just startup OnyX and when the icon appears in the Dock, right click on it and choose keep in Dock. Or drag the icon from the applications folder to the Dock. That will take care of it. |

I didn't really want to keep it on my Dock. When it runs, it shows the proper Icon on the Dock Bar. When not running, it shows the generic icon in my Applications folder that I access from my Dock Bar. I hope this explains it better. Everything operates fine, just the icon issue bugs me. Thanks! |

Restart the machine, the icon database will rebuild and the problem will be gone.
If that DOESN'T fix it, it means you have a half-uninstalled second copy of OnyX somewhere and should trash it. Then put the latest copy into the dock in its place. Or not, if you don't want it. You can remove icons from the dock by right clicking on them or just dragging them up and out of the dock and letting go. Poof. |

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. Place your vote for our Member of the Month |
