Question about Backups and External HDs
    Hi all....

I just recently bought my first Mac, a MacBook Pro. Anyway, I have a 1TB external drive that I'd like to use for backup but would like to use it wirelessly. I have the external drive plugged in to an iOmega iConnect and am wondering if it is possible to use Time Machine to use the external drive as backup through the iConnect. I cannot seem to get it to work so I'm not sure its possible.

    Thanks.

    Specs:
    09 MBP 8GB ram 500GB HD OS 10.9 32B iPad 4 32GB iPhone 5 iOs7 2TB TC Apple TV3
Time Machine is not supported by a lot of routers through USB and a few networking
hard drives like WD live book will work over ethernet to wireless router. I have found
the Airport Extreme has worked with almost every external USB hard drive I have hooked up to it as long as its formatted to OS Extended(Journaled).
