    cant run X11 apps

Im running leopard 10.5.8 on a powerbook G4.
When i open terminal and run an X11 application - xclock or xeyes eg - nothing happens. The cursor blinks but nothing happens. Ive recently installed Xcode 3.1.4 if that is of any relevance.

Just wondering if there is something simple I have missed.
X11 is installed as the relevant directories are all there.

Are you trying to run these from Terminal or an xterm prompt? In other words, have you managed to get X11 to run?

    I went here

    and installed X11-2.6.1.dmg (Leopard)

X11 now works. has appeared in the utilities folder.

    Mac OS-X Updates (Leopard Only)

You will need to re-install this package after future OS, and Security Updates delivered through Apple's Software Update. Additionally, you should reinstall this package after installing XCode.

so installing xcode must have trashed

i can run xeyes and xclock etc
