how to associate all avi to VLC

my avi are associated with quicktime. id like to associate all avi files with vlc. how do i do that. i managed to change one. but not all of em at the same time.

Mac Specs: 2009 MBP, Black speakers, Black Benq second monitor, black(ish) iPhone 5s, Black 2012 iPad, etc.

1. Pick an AVI file and Get Info on it. (command-i)
2. Change the association on it to your preferred application.
3. Click the "Change All" button. You will be asked to confirm.
