While waiting for the experts on this site, have you tried doing a Google search on 'you tube downloader for mac computer'? There are many results shown.

Have a look at this site:

Internet Download Manager Alternatives for Mac (OS X) - AlternativeTo.net

But I have to tell you that these types of utilities are often more trouble than they're worth...

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Avoid like the plague is even better advice. Particularly Speed Downloar. Do a search of the threads for more.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Google can find what's out there. Substitute the word 'video' for 'you tube'.

But, like the others said, these apps may not be too good.

Real Player does one. I've tried it and it is OK. Here is the link if you want to try it out. Watch your favourite videos on your favourite devices

Strictly on a note about the Down loader, I've had no problems with it when I have downloaded from You Tube and other sites. It also works with NASA real TV. I have watched all the shuttle launches and landings with it. Never had any problems.
