Hi,

I still have many many friends running windows who send me WMA files, as I want to convert them to MP3`s have been looking for a converter and Switch software for Mac was recommended.

Have looked at it but just wondered if anyone here uses it and what are your opinions. On the outset even the free version would seem to cater for my needs.

Thank you in advance for any input re other software options.

It's decent enough, but you need flip4mac to run it too, and I had issues using it when I first went over to Snow Leopard. I suspect it may have been updated since though.
Personally I much prefer EasyWMA, but it costs ($13). So easy to use though, It's worth it IMO.

EasyWMA

well Kev, yet another plus one.

I always use EasyWMA for all my wma files. although i managed to get it before it was payware.

Switch has always been consistently buggy for me trying to do this.

Thanks guys for the hints, but as I only had about 120 files to convert did not want to shell out any money so downloaded Switch and it worked really well, no need for flip4mac which was a nice surprise maybe its been fully updated now.

Have emailed all today politely asking for mp3 > ogg files.

MP3-Ogg. Get Max, the best audio converter for everything other than WMA.
It's free too.

Max from sbooth.org

@Rob. Yes I got EasyWMA free too.
