    Specs:
    Mid-2012 MBP (16GB, 1TB HD), Monoprice 24-inch second monitor, iPhone 5s 32GB, iPad Air 2 64GB
You just need to buy FaceTime for Mac in the Mac App Store for $1.

Is it only certain iMac's that can utilize Facetime?

What osxx is trying to say is that Facetime for Mac requires an Intel Mac running the latest version of the OS, 10.6.6.

If you have some previous version of 10.6 running, use Software Update to bring your version up to 10.6.6 (free).

    Specs:
    17 inch 2 GHz C2D imac (5,1) with 3GB DDR2 RAM, X1600 (128MB memory) GPU - OSX 10.6.3
Also your Mac requires a camera too. Stating the obvious but it is a requirement after all.

It does not have to be the built in one though. Webcam or camcorder does the job.
