I currently have a Macbook Pro 15 inch which i purchased in the summer of '09.
& because i play starcraft2 i wanted to get myself an external keyboard… is there a specific requirement in a keyboard for the macbook pro? I've heard that some times the computer doesn't recognize it? Will the Macbook Pro recognize a cheap 20-30 dollar usb keyboard?
QUOTE Thanks

Usually keyboards will be recognised by OSX but as you state some can be a pain and not be recognised.
As you haven't stated any particular keyboard that you have in mind I would suggest asking the store you get it from, asking the manufacturer or just doing a Google search about it to see what companies or other people say about that particular keyboard.

Hope this helps

Unless you buy some real cheap knock off, just about any USB keyboard will work. I've seen everything from Wal-Mart specials to fancy Logitech and MS keyboards and they all work. Having said that, when it came time to buy on for myself, I bought an Apple Aluminum full sized wired keyboard from Best Buy for $49. Great keyboard!

the only thing thats confusing about non apple keyboards is that they usually dont have a command button, and instead have windows buttons i always forget where it is on windows keyboards. if you do alot of keyboard shortcuts, which is probable if your are gonna play sc2 online, make sure you are okay with this.
