Do you use an Anti-virus?

Im reading stuff that you dont need to use an AV with Tiger? Is this true?

If so, why are there AVs out there?

you don't need to use anti virus with osx any version of it, not just tiger... the reasson why there are anti virus software out for osx is because macs can still carry viruses and pass them on over a network to a windows machhine where they can be infected, but macs themselves can not be infected...so if you truely would like to try your best to keep your windows machines clean then put anti virus software on your mac... if you don't have a windows machine... it doesn't really matter if you have anti virus software or not.

Thats cool. My fiancee will be using a Windows machine but they wont be networked. It funny browsing the web without 'protection' when you have been used to using AVs, Firewalls and Spyware scanners.
