Hey everybody

So, this is my problem. My old Macbook pro, to whose Itunes my Iphone 4 is synced, is dead, black screen, gone to a hopefully peaceful existence in computer-heaven

So now, my problem is this. I have a new Macbook air, and I would like to sync my Iphone to its Itunes but how? I have my precious, precious calendar, my notes, my contacts(!) on the Iphone, and I am afraid that it will erase all this if I sync it with Itunes. Every time I try, it says that the Iphone is synced with another Itunes, and that syncing it will result in deleting the stuff I have on it now.

So I would be so grateful (!) if some one knew how to do this.

Btw I apologize if this question has been asked in an earlier thread, I tried to search for it, but as it might show, I am not always the strongest in those things.

Btw II; I apologize if the language is off, english is not my first language

Hope you can help me
- Allo

Back everything up first before you proceed; preferably to an external hard drive. Then follow the directions given in this thread.

I am not absolutely certain, but I think this will work:

1) sign up for a Mobileme trial

2) synch your iPhone to Mobilme, making sure to synch calendar, notes, contacts etc

3) synch your iPhone to your new computer

4) synch your computer to Mobileme (restoring contacts etc from Mobileme)

5) resynch your iPhone to your computer and should transfer contacts etc back to your phone

Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.

That's absolutely how I did it when my old computer died and my whole life was on my iTouch. They couldn't do it at the Apple store, but syncing it to MM totally worked

Also, now that a couple of viable solutions have been offered -- it's "losing" not "loosing." Your English is very good, so I thought you would want to know that. Don't worry, it confuses a lot of native speakers as well!
