Converting contacts in an .xls file to contacts in Mail

I've been able to convert all of my contacts in an invoicing program to an .xls spreadsheet(Excel) and I would like to export/import somehow to get those to a vcard file for Mail. Any suggestions on a quick, easy, accurate way to do that?

Have you tried saving the spreadsheet as a comma separated values file and importing that? I can't guarantee how well that will work but it might be worth a try.

I'm working on that right now. Going to save as a .csv and .txt and give both a shot.
