Hello People,

I have just switched from PC to MAC, so still in the learning stage.

I want to download windows media player for mac and everytime I click on the download link...it takes me to "windows media component for quicktime....Flip4mac...

All I want is media player where I can enqueue songs, sit back and relax and enjoy the music as I used to do with WMP when using PC.

I dont want to use itunes.

Is this possible in MAC and how...can anyone please guide me

You do not want wmp. MS has not updated that thing in over 5 years and it is stuck back in version 5. Doubt it will even work in Snow Leopard. If you want to listen/watch wmv files you need Flip4Mac.

If you don't want to use iTunes try Songbird.

Sir,

The only reason I dont want to use itunes is because I cannot en-queue songs.

Can i en-queue songs in quicktime using flip4mac?

Thanks

Don't have a clue what you mean by "en-queue".

If you are referring to wanting to select individual songs that you want to play in the order you set - then yes - create a playlist in iTunes and add the songs to it in the order you want, the same as you would add them in order in wmp.

iTunes does everything WiMP ever did, only better. Perhaps you should learn to use the program before seeking an alternative.

PS. The free Flip4Mac WMV Player and Perian downloads will ensure that nearly every non-DRM windows format can be enjoyed by QuickTime, iTunes, Safari, etc.
