Hi guys,

I'm very very new to the world of MacBooks. I am currently having an issue with the dock.

My application folder is showing the address book icon and my download folder is showing the icon for the last file I downloaded.

I have tried everything and don't know how to rectify this. It's quite annoying! Any help would be appreciated. I presume that it is a very simple resolve.

Thank you for reading, youthnovels.

You didn't try everything.

Simply right-click (or control-click) on the Application "stack" and choose "Display As" -> Folder.

Same for the Downloads folder if you like.

It always puzzles me why people who have "tried everything" post questions about their problem.

Perhaps he meant 'tried everything he knew'. I thought these forums were here to help people rather than make smart comments...

The help was given that the questioner needed. But thanks for joining just so you could drag this month old thread up to critcize some light-hearted ribbing. (followed by a truly smart comment by chas_m)

Let's put this thread to bed as it's beginning to get a bit out of hand. Remember, we all "play nice", OK?
