I was reading stuff on the net per usual and came across a link to a site by Kapeli which claims to have an app that lets us execute the NORMAL cut and paste method which is a lot more useful, and something that I have still been missing in OSX since I switched about 2 years ago.

moveAddict 1.63 – cut and paste files, merge folders - Kapeli

I've been trying the free version and it works very well, with the exception that it's limited to moving one file at a time until you pony up about $5 USD. Whether or not you think it's worth it is a personal choice, but if the author continues to support the app, it very well may be.

I guess the only other downside is that it eats up a tiny bit of memory. Like 20 MB.

I love the drag and drop function, but I can see how a lot of folks would love having this feature....
My silly reasoning is that I never trust after cutting, that I will have paste option, so I always use copy and paste and then delete

You guys are too paranoid. Cutting only temporarily puts the item on the clipboard. It doesn't physically remove the item from its current place until you paste it. There's no chance of losing anything. And it would be just as easy to integrate this as a native feature while maintaining the whole "OS X users need to be protected from themselves" attitude which Apple seems to think is necessary. It's insulting.
