Hello, I have backed up my MB with Time Machine. I am going to sell my MB and upgrade to MBP - going to make a lot of money because I live in Argentina. My Question: When I restore my backup on to my future machine will I keep all the applications that I bought? Ie: iWork, Busycal, Skype, etc. Or will I have to re-buy them for my new machine? Thank you.

Skype is free... iWork you should have discs for if you bought it...

But yea, if your Applications folder is backed up, it'll keep your apps.

+1 for Migration Assistant. It will copy all the Apps to your new machine automagically.

When you first boot up the new Mac, you'll be given the choice to restore your data from your Time Machine backup. This will restore all your data including files, settings, and any applications you may have installed. I've done it before, and it works very slick. You shouldn't have any problems. Good luck!
