So I am getting a MacBook Pro for when I go to college this August. My grandparents are buying it for me and they are offering to buy it for me now. Is it wiser to wait until July or so? Will Apple come out with any new MacBook Pro models by then? Or will it be the same thing if I buy one now?

While no one knows for sure, the average update cycle for the MacBook Pro is 208 days. It's been just over a month since the last update. Again - no one here knows for sure - but chances are there will not be any new MBP models by August, or even reasonably past that. There haven't been turnarounds on models that quick since 05/06.

Check out this guide, if you'd like
