I own a Ibook G4 with Panther OS 10.3 installed and my mom just purchased a Ibook Clamshell 300Mhz. After we install 256MB of ram could I use the OS Cds that came with my ibook and install them onto my moms Ibook Clamshell?

Thanks.

if she still has her disks, I would try it and if it doesn't work go back to her origional software, I don't see why it will not work, the clamshell is a g3? I think that wil work.

No, we want to upgrade her ibook to Mac OS Panther. But I heard that because the disks came with my computer they will only work on my computer. So this isnt true? I will be able to use them on her computer once I have upgrade it?

No, I have used system disks from one kind of computer on another, you should be able to use your disk to upgrade hers.
