Spaces switching in Full Screen

hey guys,

just a question, if i am running a full screen game (call of duty 2,4) is there a way i can change spaces during playing, because i have tried everything and it dosnt work

I have exactly the OPPOSITE problem -- if I'm playing a game and hit control-arrow (as a number of games would have me do), I find my game whizzing offscreen.

I really should find some way of assigning Spaces activation to a function key so I can quickly turn it on/off ...

Based on that, nothing left unturned, I'd say it's not possible. But, if you'd care to list all those things, maybe someone can think of something else.

Huh? What's wrong with the Spaces prefs pane? Mine is set to F8.
