hey guys, the fire messenger client decided it doesnt like me anymore. it crashes NONSTOP! Just todya.

Well ive used adium, but i didnt really like it. I figured id ask about a multi protocal messenger that tabs IMs first rather than compiling GAIM/Kopete to run on mac.

thanks in advance

I wouldnt say I love it, but I like how much you can customize how your buddy list looks. Only problem I have with it is I don't like the layout for messages..if they let you customize everything on that as well then I would love it more.

I think that may be on the iChat end. I believe you can set which people have what color, and then I have it set to reformat the text to a font that I like, as some people use fonts that are tough to read...

the only thing i DONT like about adium, is the whole privacy thing. I like my setup like this: If your not on my buddy list, you cant IM me. Just for aim (i know too many jerks)

Now, i cant recall if its adium or trillian, but one of them takes your privacy settings based on what theyre saved as on the AIM server.

This NEW adium though, (.81) i really like. .72 had too many issues IMO.

That is trillian. I am quite happy with iChat, though I do miss YIM.

I personally would highly recommend Proteus also. It's a great app.
