    windows 7 on a mac?
    can I put windows 7 on a mac, and if so, 32 or 64 bit? I have a late 09 iMac

    Yes you can.

    Here is a guide.

    I would go with the 32 bit as you will see no difference if you have 4 GB of RAM or less. Although if you plan to upgrade to 8 GB in the near future, 64 bit may be a good choice as 32 bit can only utilize up to 4 GB.

    iMac 21inch, 3.2Ghz, 4GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, iPhone 4 32GB
    I'm also running Windows 7 Ultimate on my 13 inch unibody Macbook and it runs like a dream. Infact, it runs better than on my mate's Windows laptop
