After playing with an iPhone for a little over two years, I've finally decided that I couldn't take the instability of Windows on a PC anymore, and took a trip to the Apple Store
I'm now the proud owner of a 27" iMac! I LOVE IT! I can't believe I didn't make the switch so much sooner. Everything is so smooth, and feels so natural to me.I've spent quite a few years playing with opensource distributions of Linux off and on, just to break up the plague of windows issues that I could never get rid of. Anyhow, looking forward to learning as much as possible about OS X and whatnot, thanks for the welcome! |

Welcome sir, I thought the same thing when I got my first mac. I hope you continue to enjoy your purchase and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask the forum.

We are loving it! (To the tune of a McDeath commercial )The main reason for the purchase was so that my daughter's schoolwork could be done with ease. Her school uses Mac products, so it should be more "second nature" for her. Not to mention, the wife does dabble in graphics authoring from time to time and has wanted a Mac for some time, now. I've already written quite a few pages of notes here at the office that I can't wait to get home and try

Welcome. You sir are brilliant. In one fell swoop you got a great Mac, pleased the wife and daughter, and ditched Windows. How cool is that?

Welcome to Apple and the forum. You will love the stress free life with your Mac. It makes life so much easier. Super nice imac you got.
