I don't fully understand your question.. but.. if you have a MobileMe account, you can access your stuff from any computer connected to the internet.

I had hoped if I didn't want to make use of mobileme I could still access mail from a PC but clearly not. Thanks for the confirmation folks.

If you have an @me.com email address, then yes, you are paying for it, and yes you can access your mail from any computer.

If you have another email provider.. yahoo, gmail, comcast, time Warner, hotmail, etc, etc.. then you would access your mail from any computer on that providers website.

When your subscription to mobileme ends, so does your access to .mac mail, from anywhere.

So yes, a mobileme account is compulsory to access .mac or .me mail from Windows, a Mac, iPhone or any other device you can name.
