No luck with Transmission

I found a torrent (not illegal!! a public domain text file, very rare for my thesis). But it simply will not download. What might I be doing wrong?

Are there any seeders? I'm using 1.76 because anything newer than 1.76 refuses to work properly for a lot of Mac users.

i'm using 1.82 and it runs great for me but I rarely use it...

I have 1.82 as well, Im running it on an ibook...

I've got 1.82 on one and 1.75 on another, both are working for me, not sure if one is better then the other in terms of discovery tho, I have to take a torrent home to see if it works better on 1.75 (the updates DVD for for a debian 5 dist that I'm having trouble getting)

But back on topic, i'd definitely see how many seeders there are - there might be only leechers, or it might be a torrent from a registered site (a tracker that requires registration and supplies torrents that are "keyed" to the login)

little amount of seeders = slow download

but it will download just give it like 30 mins and it should budge.
