for some reason when i put my ichat icon on my dock now.. it just goes away all on its own.. i am kinda lost as to why. could someone maybe enlighten me pls.

it is very odd. the icon works when i open it up. if i place it in the dock and the program is running it just goes to the right end of the dock as if it was a program not already in the dock.. i put other icons in the dock and they sit there just fine.

Have you tried clicking-and-holding (or right-/control-clicking) on the iChat icon and choosing Options > Keep in Dock?
