Ok I'm new so if this questions been asked and indeed answered please forgive me! I have a Creative speaker system 2 x small ones and a bass unit which are powered but have no sound controls. Is there a a reliable graphic equaliser that I can download onto my shiny new first ever Mac Book pro? Thanks!

The equalizer in iTunes is the only one I know of that would do what you wanted. Not sure if there's some OS-wide solution (my guess is probably not).
Hope this helps.
