Is there any way to access a Mac's BIOS or whatever the Mac equivalent is?

Before Intel Macs used Open Firmware. They have never used a traditional Bios.

Now the Intel Macs (Like VegasGeorge stated) use EFI Firmware.

On a MacBook? - No - There wouldn't be a way to do it on a Dell, Compaq, Toshiba, Sony or any other mass-produced notebook I'm aware of either.

zdnet came out with an O/C'g tool for the MacPro a couple of years ago I believe.
