How do I get the eagle off my e-mail??
I am running SnowLeopard and in the upper left hand corner of sent e-mails, I have a picture of an eagle that the Mac automatically inserts. How do I remove it from future e-mails??

    Thanks in advance.

I take it the Eagle is your user picture on the Mac?

That pic only shows on your end. The receiver of the Email will not see that pic at all. It just showing the pic associated with your user account. It does not get sent to the person the email is sent to.

I have my cat as a pic. Its never sent.

System Prefs > Accounts > Select your account then either change to another installed pic by clicking on the little drop down arrow on the picture or drag another picture in to the picture box.

All sent messages in Mail show the user avatar you have selected for that account. I said that in my other post above. They never get sent out with the email. It's just on your end.

You only see it when you go back and look at your sent items, not when you send it out.

And it does not appear with all email addresses. It only shows up on the primary address for any account.

Ex. For those with a mobile me account using multiple email addresses. When you send mail via any of the secondary addresses it will not show up.

Is there any way to have the eagle be replaced by nothing? I went to the account preferences, hit the drop down arrow and saw how you do it. Thanks for the instructions, but I would like for nothing to appear at the top of the page.

    TIA

I am not sure there is a way. Did you read all the posts above saying that picture does not get sent with the email? It's only on your end.
