I have spent a long time unsuccessfully trying to network my new MBP to my old Toshiba laptop over firewire and I was hoping I could get a little help with it.
I have been using this guide so far: Geek to Live: Fast, one wire network (IP over FireWire) - Feature - Lifehacker Its really good and clear and I can almost get it to work. I can successfully get WinSCP to accept my password when i hit login, however it then asks me for a "keyboard-interactive authentication". This is not in the guide and I have no idea what it is. Even though my MBP shows that firewire is connected in Network Settings, I still can't finish the process on the PC. Can anyone help me with this error? Since the MBP shows that the two are connected, how can I tell that they definately are connected? Is there a particular folder/directory that will show up in Finder (on the Mac) or Windows Explorer (on the PC) that will indicate that I can transfer files? |
