how do i add a password to my computer? also how do i add a new user account i tired but i don't know how to

Open "System Preferences"

bottom left under "system" click "accounts"

click the plus sign to add accounts the minus to delete them.

you may have to click the lock on the bottom left and enter your password before you can do anything
