quoting people in chat forums

Just switched to Mac and I have maybe a strange question.

On my Windows computer, while in chat forums like Politico and the like, I have no problem quoting other peoples posts.

It doesn't work on my Mac. Any help is appreciated.

What browser are you using? Have you tried alternative browsers?

I am using Safari. I used Firefox on my Windows machine. I'll try it and see if it makes a difference.

That worked. Now I wonder why Safari doesn't work with it.
