You shouldnt be worried about virus and malware as you are using a Mac!
Using your home account will be fine

You can never be too sure with viruses and such.
Download iAnti virus its free and i use it once a fortnight...... Not saying i go to any vicious sites. Just like to be sure. Mind you it is very CPU intensive, so i exit the program once the scan is done. Cheers Dont forget to use the Reputation System if someone has helped you out !!! “I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure that I have periled life and reputation and reason. It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories, from a sense of insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom ….”― Edgar Allan Poe |

Since there has never been and are still at this time zero, none, nada, nought, zip, zilcho viruses in the wild that can run in OS X, there is no difference in surfing the web using your home or guest accounts as it relates to viruses.
edit: And you can quote me on that, at least until such time as there is a virus that can run in OS X. I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. Place your vote for our Member of the Month Last edited by bobtomay; 10-28-2009 at 10:58 PM. |
