I know that Macs are somewhat immune (I said somewhat) to getting a virus, but what about a rootkit?
Thanks for a reply.

There are none right now that can effect OS X. However, OS X, Linux, Windows, Solaris, can all be attacked by a malicious root kit. None of the popular operating systems are immune.
